Wow, what an incredible year and as it is coming to a close I have been reflecting on what has happened and each event has made me a better person. I have continued to grow my Liberty League business, watched Vanesa flourish with her photgraphy and also started instructing karate. It has been so amazing to watch the 5 most important people in my life grow through their experiences this year.
Noah 3, is growing into his personality and that is always so fun to watch. He has jokes, sad faces and mad faces. I love the mad faces the most because a big hug always follows and I think they are cutest. He is talking up a storm and loves to have conversations with everyone. He is starting to work on addition, GO NOAH!!! He also just jumped on the Karate mat this Friday for a class at Ninja Night, he is ready to join the rest of the family on the mat.
Christian 6, started Kindergarten this year, how fast the time flies. He is at the top of his class in every category, including talking, lol. We all knew that was going to happen, and that's one of the many things I love about him. He is still a character and always knows what he wants with such a certainty that it constantly inspires me to stretch myself, so thank you for that my Christian.
Marcus Jr. 8, has become quite the student athlete. He is also quite a spelling expert, he is consistently getting 100%'s on his tests as well as being a mathematical ACE. As for hoops, it is always amazing so watch him play. Coaching him has been so much fun and be able to watch him play up close and personal has been incredible. He has a gift that allows him to move on the court and he seems to see things before they happen, it is truly amazing.
What a freshman already? Katrina 14? Yes, it's true. I still remember her as that little girl with a mouse voice with curls to match. She is now becoming a young woman and I still have my hair, although there is grey now, haha. I was very impressed this year with Trina's determination to pass her Black Belt exam. She threw up in the first 30 minutes but kept going for the next 5 hours and 15 minutes. She defintely earned her belt and hopefully gained a new respect for herself. Way to go Trina!
I am so amazed on what a special photographer Vanesa has become. She has grown in her photography but also as a person and that's is so beautful to experience. Having a front row seat and watching her throughout her development of her business has been so impressive. She has branded herself, created an amazing website and managed a crazy Holiday season of photosessions. Vanesa has also mentored a very talented young photographer, Britney Nicole. This year V has shown the world what a strong, powerful and compassionate woman she is. I have known it all along, I love you honey.
And me, Vanesa said I was supposed to write about me. Well, as I look back on the year I realize and remember why I wanted to work from home in the first place. You just read about it. My family. They are the reason I do what I do for a living. I could sit and write about being a coach, volunterring at school, getting into a new house or instructing karate and earning a Black Belt. All of those things impacted my life and the lives of others and I don't discount them. But most important to me is the inner circle. So in 2009, I am taking the lead and doing my part to make my inner circle that much stronger. As it grows stronger so do I. And I as improve and grow I can help others do the same.
So my wish for all of you, is that you grow your inner circles love and power this year. I am so grateful for all of you and I wish you the absolute best year ever. Make your 2009 special.

What Does Your Dream Life Look Like?
As I am sitting here and setting my VISION for 2009 I am so excited of what
lies ahead. Over the last 3 years, I have learned to consistently set new
goals and to PLAY BIG!!!
3 years ago if you would have asked me what the New Year was bringing, I
would have answered, "I am not sure or I hope to make more money and have
some time for myself". Today I am excited to introduce more people to a new
way of life by utilizing Beyond Freedom as a life enhancement tool. To
awaken them to the possibility of more fulfilling relationships, finding
their purpose, furthering their career or starting their own business and
living life on their terms. Over the past 3 years I have seen people make
dramatic changes. It is so rewarding to be able to work from home, be with
my family, travel and help so many people improve the quality of their
lives.
To learn to get past limiting beliefs and to bridge the gap between knowing
and doing. Most of us know what we could do to allow ourselves to be more
fulfilled but are YOU taking action? Some may say "I don't know where to
start".....well I would suggest beginning with taking some time to get
authentic with yourself and really diving into what you want your life to
look like in 2009, in the next 3 years, 5 years, 10 years. Do you want to
start a business, make more money, be a better parent, son, daughter or
friend?
If you could picture your dream life, what would it look like? Would you
change zip codes, how would you spend your days and with whom? I know those
are some very personal questions, but you deserve the answers. Other people
are living their dream lives, we all should be, it is our birth right. How
would you feel if you were living that life right now? Take a minute and
think about it.........
Take action towards that YOUR dream life and make it a reality. If you would
like to share some time and discuss your possibilities I would welcome the
opportunity to speak with you.
Make your life great!!!

Success is a Direction You Choose
Many people believe that success is a specific result or
outcome, a destination at which they arrive one day. They might
define success as a certain amount of money in the bank, a
certain kind of car or home, a specific job or title or
relationship. These things may be part of your success, goals
that you achieve along the way, but they are not success itself.
Success is more than the realization of one goal, or even
several goals. Success is not a specific destination... it's a
direction you choose.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Lots of success programs tell you what to do, but Beyond Freedom provides you a road map on how to think to create the
life you really want... http://www.4truefreedom.com
----------------------------------------------------------------
Since that's true, it's crucial that you know two things:
1. You need to know what you truly want from life in your
heart and soul.
2. You need to know that it's your direction, one that you
yourself have chosen.
You are the only person who can define success for you. Make
sure you choose your own direction, rather than pursuing goals
that society or other people tell you that you "should" want.
If you don't, you may find yourself at the top of the ladder,
but the ladder will be leaning against the wrong wall!
If you are seeking success, but have yet to find the exact combination I invite you to get into contact with me. After all, it's your life and your success, you are worth it.

We Grow from the Inside Out
We grow from the inside out...
Wealthy people, and I mean people who are truly wealthy in all areas, don't allow others to determine the quality of their lives. They never allow circumstances or others to determine how much income they earn or their level of harmony with regard to their spiritual life, their health, their relationships--anything.
To have more you must be more.
If your intention is big enough, then you must grow to meet the size of that idea. Similarly, if you have an idea that doesn't cause you to grow, it isn't the right idea. In other words, the right intention and the right desire have to make you stretch.
Growing is an inside job. Once you begin to go inside--involution--and grow, your results on the outside--evolution--must happen. Going within leads you to take different actions; your goal begins to take form and ultimately becomes a result in your life.
When you achieve the desired result, what happens?
"What's next?" happens, doesn't it? The basic principle of life, of spirit, is fuller expression and expansion. Your results become the springboard for fuller expression, which then brings grander, more exciting ideas and goals into view. Are you with me?
Once you get that next idea or desire--the intention--you again have to grow to meet the size of that new idea, so involution kicks in all over again. New actions begin to happen and your new bigger idea starts coming into form. You get new results, and so on. This is really simple, but its how the creative process works: inside out, involution always preceding evolution.
Think back on any goal you've achieved, and you'll see that this cycle occurred.
You had an idea, a desire, and you had to grow to reach it. Perhaps it was when you got your first car loan or first home mortgage.
Now, if that payment was a stretch for you, you had to expand your vision of yourself, didn't you? You had to see yourself being able to reach for more than you had been accessing. You had to realign your possibilities to meet the size of the idea.
What you need isn't more money but more growth. We all do.
Money is nothing more than a measuring stick of our growth.
So keep growing on the inside and watch your life flourish on the outside.
To your continued happiness and success!

1st Day of School
Today was the first day of school for 3 of our 4 kids. Katrina officially became a freshman in high school, wow how the time flies. Marcus Jr. (MJ13) entered the 3rd grade and Christian (my little man) kindergarden. As any other day we woke got ready and left the house, this time headed to school. When we pulled up to the school Christian asked, "dad why are there so many cars and people here?" Marcus answered for me telling Christian, "on the first day of school all of the parents want to bring their kids to school". As he finished his statement, I could see the confusion on Christian's face. Why is the first day any different than the other days, is it more important then the rest? Are the other days unimportant to be there? You see Christian, has always had mom and dad around, we work from home.
I sat and reflected when I got home about how I used to be that parent that would make the special effort to be there on the first day or the special occassions, Christmas parties etc. How grateful I am for today's experience that my Christian gave to me. Reminding me what I do, and more importantly why. See I never miss the special moments, I am here for every moment. What a gift I have been given and that I am able to give every single day I wake up.
Take this with you as you go about your day, don't miss......Don't miss the ball games, the plays, the parties more importantly don't miss the everyday things like seeing them when they walk in the door from school and you are there waiting for them. The look on their little faces is priceless, that's what matters.
Enjoy your life!

Circumstances
The greatest stumbling block to achieving anything of importance in your life is circumstances. We let circumstances get us off the hook when we should be giving it everything we've got. More dreams are shattered and goals lost because of circumstances than any other single factor.
How often have you caught yourself saying, "I would like to do or have this but I can't because...?" Whatever follows "because" is the circumstance.
Successful people use circumstances to catapult them on toward their goal, while the masses use them as road blocks. A circumstance may cause a detour in your life but you should never permit it to stop you.
George Bernard Shaw is quoted as saying, "People are always blaming circumstance for what they are. I do not believe in circumstance. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstance they want and if they can't find them they make them."
Napoleon said, "Circumstances hell, I make them."
The next time you hear someone say they would like to vacation in Paris, or purchase a particular automobile but they can't because they have no money. Tell them they don't need any money, your reward will probably be a blank stare followed with, "What do you mean I don't need any money?"
Explain they don't need the money until they make a decision to go to Paris or purchase the car. When the decision is made, they will figure out a way to get the amount needed. They always do.
The circumstance they are using is one of the most common: a lack of money. The real cause of their problem is lack of decision. You always attract what you need when you decide it must be done. Try this yourself today. You know the task you have been putting off "because..." Make a decision, forget the circumstance or adopt Shaw's theory, but get it done!
To your success!

Work With The Cause
If you want to change the effect, you have to change the cause... and our thoughts are the ultimate cause. If we try to change limited income, limited satisfaction or limited relationships by concentrating on them instead of changing the thoughts that caused them, we don't get very far.
We need to go back into the unseen, unlimited world of thoughts and feelings and make our changes there. Then our new thoughts will project into the physical world, instead of the old thoughts. Start putting your attention on what you do want in your life. Work with cause, rather than trying to manipulate effect.
Think of cause and effect like watching a video. Imagine that you rented a video, and it was terrible. You just hated it! Would you take a hammer and smash your television or would you change the video tape? If you smashed the screen, you would be dealing with effect. If you changed the video, you would be dealing with cause.
Beyond Freedom is based on the premise that you have the power to shift your own mindset. You can direct your inner powers of thought and free will to change your mindset and to achieve whatever results you choose. To activate this power, we need to understand how the mind works, how mindsets are formed and how they can be changed.
The first step in changing your mindset is to create a vivid mental picture of what you want in your life and your results. Secondly, you must visualize this mental image at minimum 3 times per day. Visualizing is the key to realizing!
To your continued success!

Take A Quantum Leap
The first thing you must do in order to make a massive leapthis year is....
"Change your personal rules for success."
Leveraging up your personal effectiveness by an order of magnitude...making a quantum leap...is not a commonplace idea. You should not be surprised to hear that unconventional success calls for unconventional approaches. Quantum leaps require paradoxical behavior. Unusual moves. Actions that on the surface often seem to contradict common sense.
As human beings, thought, we ordinarily go with the obvious. We fall into the habit of relying on behaviors that seem to have worked best for us over the years. When we take an approach that seems to be very serviceable, and which enables us to perform well and succeed, we become very attached to it. We don't readily relinquish that habit pattern. In fact, there's a tendency to follow our favorite approach more and more often, such that we get better and better at handling things that particular way.
This adroitness with a certain approach results in our overdependence on the strategies and tactics it involves. We resist new maneuvers because they make us feel clumsy, awkward, and more at risk.
But if you want to accelerate your rate of achievement rapidly, you must search out and vigorously employ new behaviors. New attitudes. You must be willing to break out of your routines in order to make the quantum leap.
The things that worked for you in the past very likely could, sooner or later, lose their serviceability. Even if your customary approach still holds promise for maintaining your present level of performance and growth curve, it may not help much if you want to hit far higher achievement levels. And even learning on them most when your performance flattens out or sags, you create a trap for yourself.
There is a certain irony here. Your historically most dependable behaviors can become the major obstacles to future success. It's possible for them to cripple your progress. They may stand as personal boundary lines that limit what you can accomplish with your life.
There is however, another course of action. It is the way of the quantum leap. Quantum leaps jerk you out of your comfort zone. Prepare yourself for a pretty wild ride. You're going to cover some unfamiliar terrain and encounter obstacles you've never faced before. It can feel like the safety chain linking you with behavior patterns that worked in the past is being stretched to the limit. At times you may wonder if the situation is about to spin out of control.
The normal reaction is to hold on tightly. But you're going to have to learn to let go. A quantum leap is achieved through release.
So turn loose if you want to jump.
Don't be surprised if you grow uneasy, that's a predictable part of the process. When you take the quantum leap you ride the situation, but you don't really control it all that much. In fact, the only way you control it is by (1)knowing where you are going, (2) continuing the pursuit, and (3) learning from your mistakes.
A quantum leap is an act of faith, exhilarating and possibly scary at the same time. You have to give up a large degree of security and safety, plow through greater amounts of ambiguity and confusion and uncertainty, wrestle with a totally new set of problems, invite failure, and possibly contend with criticism from other people who have been part of your support group in the past.
Make you uncomfortable?
That's a good sign.
If you're experiencing no anxiety or discomfort, the risk you're taking probably isn't worthy of you. The only risks that aren't a little scary are the ones you've outgrown. A high comfort level provides solid evidence that you're playing it safe, not growing, not really testing your limits at all, and not in the process of a quantum leap.
You might be making gradual progress that's possible but you're not going for a breakthrough.
A quantum leap carries you beyond your commonplace, everyday habits and calls for a little more nerve. So just go into this expecting a touch of anxiety. Uneasiness is a predictable psychological reaction when a quantum leap is under way.
It has been said that if you do the thing you fear, death of the fear is certain. Courage is not the absence of fear and anxiety, it's proceeding in spite of those feelings.
If you are ready to make a quantum leap in your life right now send me an e-mail at marcusruiz@4truefreedom.com or call me directly and tell me you would like to join me in a conversation about your possibilities.
Make your leap!
